Schkade Mines, A Division of Champion Stone

Company, LLC

Lueders Limestone is quarried from the Lueders Basin in Texas. It is a preferred building material amongst architects, engineers, contractors, and masons because it is harder and denser than most other limestone types. Since Lueders Limestone is denser and absorbs less water than other limestone, it withstands extreme weather and maintains its natural appearance better than other natural stones.
The company began twelve (12) years ago with a dream by Dennis Schkade while sitting on largest and richest Lueders Limestone and Dolomite deposit in Texas. The Schkade Mines was acquired by Champion in February 2008. We are growing continually with over fifty employees, and stone sales throughout the United States. CSC is dedicated to maintaining the quality and honesty earned by Mr. Schkade. We seek not only to distinguish our company by quality products and customer service, but also to be known by our uncompromising ethical business standard.
Our deposits, while varying in thickness, are in excess of 110 feet thick providing our customers with over 1000 years of the highest quality limestone on Earth. Each layer is unique in color and character, allowing for a wide variety of building stone choices. We offer twelve uniquely different limestone colors and styles. With Lueders Limestone, you are choosing a product tested by time that will only get better with age as evidenced from its use on thousands of high-end commercial buildings, universities, and homes across the US. Our commitment to quality, customer service, reliability, and competitive pricing is what defines our business. We work hard to keep our word and meet your deadlines, so that your customers are satisfied with the work we do together.
Our incredible quarry and mill operates dozens of pieces of machinery and saws. We can manufacture anything your job calls for from building stone, thin and regular bed depth veneer, floor tiles, slabs, to countertops. While we are famous for our cut and chopped construction stone, our state-of-the-art Stampede, Jaguar, and Tiger saws coupled with our 10’ diameter circular saws allow us to cut whatever is called for.
